I always wanted to have a sandblaster. I have compressor already and sandblasting cabinets are not very expensive, however they are always very large and heavy. I wanted something that I can easily put away when not in use (which is 355 days of the year).
So I set out to build my own using a big plastic box I bought from Walmart. I designed it so that it has a plexiglass window on top, protected by reusable cellophane sheets. The gloves are held in place using lasercut wooden rings and it features a couple of 3D printed plates for air quick connector and vacuum cleaner attachment.
Below you can see how well the setup worked on my old and neglected skillets. They were finally revived after almost 10 years rusting away in the basement.
